Camping Islas Cies Overview

Camping Islas Cies is situated on the Islas Cíes, part of the Islas Atlánticas de Galicia National Park. The islands are in the mouth of the Ría de Vigo, some 14km from the city of Vigo.

The islands can only be reached by the scheduled ferry service or by private boat. (There is no vehicular access). The ferry service starts in Easter week and runs weekends and then everyday between the beginning of June and the end of September.

There are various places to park near the embarkation points.

Pets of any kind are not permitted on the Islands.

The ferries depart every hour from the harbours of Vigo, Cangas and Baiona. You will have wonderful views of the ría and the local coastal villages during the voyage.

The ferries are run by Naviera Mar de Ons, Nabia or Naviera Rias Baixas.

During Easter week and the weekends up to the beginning of June, it is not necessary to reserve a space - bookings can be made in the reception on arrival. During these times the opening of the campsite depends on the ferry service which, in turn, depends on the weather.

ENTRY:

To have permission to camp you MUST be in possession of a TARJETA DE ACAMPADO (camping permit) which has to be obtained from the camping office situated in Estación Marítima de Ría de Vigo (08:30 - 13:30 and 14:30 - 19:00h) Campers who take the ferry from Baiona or Cangas do not need to collect the Permit in Vigo as it can be collected from the reception of the Camp-site on presentation of the booking receipt.

TARIFFS:

2012 prices (8% IVA included)

Option 1. Camping with own tent:

• Adults: 7.95 €

• Children (3 to 12 years): 5.95 €

• Tent: 8.35 €

(You must bring your own tent)

Option 2. Renting a Tent (from 1st June):

• Small: 2 people - 1 room tent: 46 € / night.

• Large: 4 people - 2 room tent: 70 € / night.

This price includes tent and one nights stay for up to this number of people.

Minimum stay 2 nights.

SEASONS:

• JUNE AND SEPTEMBER

• JULY AND AUGUST

GROUPS:

We will not offer camping for groups. Bookings should be made by the normal procedure of individual reservations:

• There is the possibility of having meals for groups, with different menus and prices.

• The restaurant reservation must be made 15 days in advance of the chosen date, with choice of menu and number of people.

• For certain menus a deposit will be required to confirm the booking.

INDIVIDUAL RESERVATIONS: JUNE AND SEPTEMBER
