Wake up to a scrumptious English or Continental breakfast served in the sun-splashed central atrium, which looks out over the lagoon. Allow yourself time to soak up the sun and savour the perfect views from the swimming pool deck. For those guests who would like a little peace and quite relax in our cozy lounge while enjoying a good book. For the more social, enjoy a drink at our bar while getting to know some of the other guests or gaze out over the lagoon and if the conditions are right watch dolphins frolicking or perhaps whales swimming lazily through the Heads.

The scenic and charming seaside town of Knysna is well known for its superb golf courses, fresh oysters, enormous forests and local arts and crafts. Augusta Bay offers you the opportunity to experience a host of fun activities in and around the charming town. Guided lagoon fishing excursions can be arranged, or for the more daring there are deep-sea charters with local captains. Other engaging experiences in the area include a cruise on the John Benn Ferry, Featherbed Nature Reserve or a round-trip on the charming Outeniqua Choo Tjoe.

If sunning yourself on the warm sands is what relaxation means to you there are many immaculate beaches to choose from. Shoppers are bound to appreciate the boutiques, décor shops, hand-crafted furniture, art galleries and craft markets in the near by village center. Within a short drive you’ll find other attractions like the Knysna Elephant Park, Monkeyland, the Tsitsikamma forest, coastal reserves and Storms River canyon.

Augusta Bay enjoys membership privileges at the magnificent Pezula Golf Club. Tee-off time’s can also be arranged at other surrounding golf courses like the Knysna Country Club, Simola, Fancout, George Country Club, Plettenberg Bay Country Club and Goose Valley all within easy driving distance of Augusta Bay.
