Lake Pleasant Living Overview

If you are looking for ‘lifestyle living’ combined with superb facilities, Lake Pleasant Living B&B on the Garden Route is a unique and ideal place to stay. The Garden Route is an exceptionally beautiful area in the Knysna district, between the Indian Ocean and the Outeniqua and Tsitsikamma mountains.

Perfectly situated between the towns of Knysna and Sedgefield, Lake Pleasant is the perfect place from where to explore everything the Garden Route has to offer and, at the same time, enjoy the comfort and luxury of upmarket living, set in an incomparable natural environment.

Lake Pleasant has a long and checkered history of offering unique accommodation. Before becoming part of the Mantis Group it was just another ordinary hotel.

The new Lake Pleasant Hotel became a jewel in the Mantis crown and was one of the few graded 5 star hotels in Africa.

Lake Pleasant Living lifestyle was born in October 2005 when the Mantis Group changed the hotel to luxury self contained all-suite accommodation offering the same 5 star accommodation but without the expensive frills required of a 5 star hotel. Set in the picturesque Goukamma Nature and Marine Reserve, the Lake Pleasant Living B&B are a serene retreat built on the edge of a natural freshwater lake (one of few in the southern hemisphere)
