Garden Route Game Lodge Rooms:

There are a number of Luxury Lodges furnished with an African theme, which are luxurious and comfortable. Each en suite lodge leads onto balconies that ensure guests are able to enjoy the awe-inspiring African sunsets the area is renowned for. The balcony is just a few steps away from the swimming pool. As the lodges are situated near the Lodge amenities they are ideal for families.

The thatched luxury CHALETS all with en suite bathrooms, ensure guests can enjoy total comfort in beautiful surroundings. Wherever possible only natural material have been used – thatch, stone and timber ensure the African style décor leaves you with unforgettable memories. Very secluded and private, the Chalets are linked to the lodge with wooded walkways edged with aloes and fynbos

Garden Route Game Lodge Restaurants & Bars:

The African Boma is where guests can choose between hearty traditional cuisine and some specialities prepared by the chefs in traditional African pots on open coal fires. Knowledgeable and friendly waiters will help you with your choice of meal and your selection of excellent South African wine.

The Serengeti Restaurant is for guests who enjoy interaction with the chefs as they prepare safari cuisine exactly as you would like it. Relax and enjoy the amazing sounds of an African night as you congregate on an expansive wooden deck with stunning views of the valley below.

Breakfast and dinner are included while you stay at Garden Route Game Lodge and there is a special children’s menu. Provided you advise us of special dietary requirements when you make you booking these will be accommodated.

Game Viewing Drives

Experienced and knowledgeable game rangers will be available for morning and evening game drives. They will share their wide knowledge of not only the big game and all the other species and the amazing birdlife, but also the fascinating stories around local African folklore.

With an animal population of over 400 your visit to Garden Route Game Lodge will almost certainly ensure you are able to see elephant, white rhino, buffalo, giraffe, kudu, wildebeest, zebra and more than 24 other species.

Lions of the Garden Route Game Lodge

The 7 original lions in the reserve originated from Shamwari Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape in March 2000. They have now found a protected sanctuary and they have adapted extrememlty well in their new environment. Visitors to Garden Route Game Lodge are ensured of an educational and enlightening experience and will leave with more knowledge on the plight of these truly magnificent creatures.

Elephants and Cheetahs of the Garden Route Game Lodge

The elephants, who arrived as orphans, came from ther Kruger National Park in 2001.

A Cheetah Conservation Centre was established in 2002 to enlighten visitors of the plight of these seriously endangered species.

Reptile Center

This world class facility, with its resident curator, will provide guests of Garden Route Game Lodge with an opportunity to share his vaste love and knowledge of over 26 species of crocodiles, snakes and other cold-blooded creatures.

If you would like to overcome your fear of snakes a visit to this centre will go a long way in helping you is to realise their importance to the ecology of any environment.

Mountain and Quad Bike Trails

Enjoy the challenging mountain biking trrails on the various farm roads in the area which lead to the Gouritz River Valley. Less demanding routes are also available. On a farm just outside Mossel bay you can enjoy a 4X4 guided adventure trail. Booking is essential.

Weddings

For a romantic and unique African setting for a wedding or other special occasion the beautifully designed wedding venue which can accommodate up to 120 guests is perfectly built using only natural materials. Guests can watch the breathtaking sunsets over the Langeberg Mountains and be awe inspired by the clear star studded African night sky. The venue is climate controlled throughout the seasons and the 3 fireplaces are welcomed on cold winter evenings.

Bridal couples can choose between the Labola Chapel or an open air ceremony and they are treated to complementary overnight honey moon suite accommodation.

Conferences

The Garden Route Game Lodge conference centre is the perfect setting for a country breakaway no matter what you would like to plan – this unique natural setting, which is air-conditioned and fully equipped with all the AV equipment, can accommodate up to 60 delegates.

There is a lapa close by for guests to view the wild life during their refreshment breaks.
