KNYSNA ON N2
Take the Klein Brakrivier / Little Brak River (Exit 401) Turn Right at STOP and cross the bridge over the N2.
± 500 m T-junction: Follow the brown Botlierskop signboard with the lion footprint, from this point. Turn Right.
±4km ahead: go over causeway, 200m after causeway, turn Right at Botlierskop signboard, onto the Gannakraal Road.
± 4km on Gonnakraal Road, see earthdam on right. Turn Right after earthdam at gate. You will see Botlierskop!

FROM CAPE TOWN ON N2 (4 hours drive from Cape Town) 3.5 hours drive from Stellenbosch

Take the N2 from Cape Town/ Somerset West towards George. Continue on the N2. Do not turn off where you see the Mossel Sign (keep left where the N2 split)

Botlierskop Private Game Reserve Overview

Situated on a 3000ha game reserve located between Mossel Bay and George, and set in amongst spectacular mountain ranges, the child-friendly (children aged 6 yrs and over are welcome) and malaria-free Botlierskop Private Game Reserve offers an immense diversity of wildlife and activities. This is all coupled with luxurious, tented accommodation in beautifully appointed private suites discreetly positioned along the riverbank.

The reserve comprises of over 26 different species of animals and more than 200 bird species. Wildlife at the reserve includes the rare Black Impala, Rhino, Buffalo, Giraffe, Mountain Zebra, Eland and Lions (in a separate enclosure).

Activities guests can enjoy includes, elephant back rides, elephant feedings, elephant picnic’s, horseback safaris, guided game drives and helicopter flights

Botlierskop Private Game Reserve Rooms:

Each of the 15 luxury tented and air-conditioned suites at Botlierskop are elegantly adorned in a romantic colonial theme with 4-poster beds voluptuously draped in mosquito nets. They are fully equipped with mini bar, tea/coffee making facilities, a telephone and a safe. The en-suite facilities are lavishly equipped with deep baths, open-air showers and stunning panoramas.

The choice of accommodation is between 4 types of luxury, air-conditioned and en suite tented suites. They range from the Luxury tented suite with views of the river, the Deluxe tented suite on the river’s edge and the Executive tented suite on the river's edge, with superb views of the river and mountains, a private jetty and its own private splash pool!

The accommodation in Family tented suites on the river’s edge has its own jetty for easy fishing, bird watching or just relaxing. There are sleeper couches for children between 6 and 12.

Botlierskop Private Game Reserve Restaurants & Bars:

The pool next to the lodge with its’ breathtaking views of the valley below is balm for the soul and wonderfully relaxing. The large open-air deck, with its’ unobstructed valley vista, seamlessly integrates the unique fauna and flora of the area with soothing African bush ambience in the distance.

Here at Botlierskop, where heaven meets earth at the end of each day, relax and enjoy glorious sunsets on whispery summer nights or seek out either of our two indoor fireplaces for a cosy winter evening.
