Knysna Forest Marathon

The highly popular Knysna Forest Marathon takes place every year in July during the famous and exciting Pick n Pay Knysna Oyster Festival. A highly unique marathon that takes participants on a glorious route through Knysna's stunning landscape and indigenous forest, this is one not to be missed if you a marathon enthusiast!

Participants can choose to enter either the 42.2km full marathon or the 21.1km half-marathon. Both races are pretty challenging and do involve some hilly terrain - so you will need to be very fit!

Entries are limited to 1000 people for the full marathon and 5500 for the half - marathon, so it's best to book early to ensure you get a place.

After you have finished your run in the Knysna Forest Marathon there is still plenty of fun to be had at the Knysna Oyster Festival - which as you guessed, centres around this well known Garden Route delicacy, oysters.
