March 2012 A great night out.
Cathy P from St Martins, Guernsey
I had a really enjoyable evening on Thursday, just my husband and I. We both had a selection of tapas a few cocktails and a bottle of wine. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the service was great too. I loved the atmosphere here and will definitely come back again very soon. A great cocktail menu and good value for money too. Thank you so much :-)

March 2012 Return visit was much better
Rosemary Druckes from Guernsey
Following up on a bad report I submitted a few months ago, I was invited by the hotel management to make a return visit to The Rock Garden. My husband and I visited yesterday evening and I have to say I was impressed as to how things had improved, run more efficiently, the staff were very pleasant and, all in all, it was a most enjoyable evening. Thankyou so much.

January 2012 Nice venue but be prepared to eat when you get home
Hungry from Guernsey
The venue has been very nicely finished and the courtesy coach is a nice touch (but is also necessary for the place to work at weekends I'd imagine).
Whilst the food is good, there really isn't much of it for the money. Tapas portions are tiny compared to say, White D'Or who are pretty much established in Guernsey (I don't work for or have any affiliation with White D'Or).
Similarly, a hamburger, pretty much the benchmark of an eatery (because whilst very simple is easy to get wrong) is much better executed by the Fermain Valley's own brasserie. Both are delicious, but the Rock Garden version is at best, a starter.

December 2011 Bad value for money!
Rosemary Druckes from Guerrnsey
A group of us (10 ladies) had a "meal" (if you can call if that) at The Rock Garden last night. The menu charged out at £21.00 per head had been previously ordered. We eventually sat down at our table at 9.00 p.m. and then continued to wait some time for starters to arrive. The service was extremely slow, the portions of food incredibly small and several requests were made for the remainder of our "booked" menu to arrive. Our sweets (crepes) finally arrived gone 11.00 p.m. The staff were certainly not under pressure as, apart from ourselves, there was only one other table of approx. 15 ladies and the odd couple here and there. My overall opinion of the "party menu" charged at £21.00 was definitely over-priced, as were the bar prices - unbelievable! I certainly would not recommend The Rock Garden.

November 2011 A great new addition to the bar scene!
Alan and Sarah from Guernsey
Like the idea of the courtesy bus to town although we ended up staying as were quite happy where we were. I had beers but the ladies in the group had a range of different cocktails which they were enthusing about. Our meal was delicious and great service. The women requested Pinot Grigio but there was none in stock, the only complaint really, otherwise a great venue for a night out with a few friends or indeed as a party venue - Thank you - we will be back soon!!

November 2011 A fabulous evening out with friends.

I love this new cocktail bar. Started off with a few yummy cocktails, Fermain White Lady I would really recommend. The wibble is another one I will try again. Then had a really delicious selection of tapas ranging from lovely juicy prawns and meatballs to beautifully prepared caesar salad and sushi to die for. I will definitely come back again and will be telling all my mates. Oh and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the wall :-)

November 2011 A great place to share with friends

A lovely evening, the food was absolutely delicious. They could have been quicker with the drinks, we were getting bit dry waiting! But, somewhere deliciously different for a fun grown up evening.... nowhere else in guernsey quite like it! We'll be back.

November 2011 A great addition to the Guernsey Restaurant/Bar Scene

Overall a great night out. The initial service was too hasty. We were told we had to go to our table as there was a table of 16 coming in but we really didn't see that as our problem. They also had none of the white wine we wanted on a Saturday night. Plus the big screen is a great idea but it was too bright and flashy. Needs to be more relaxing and chilled. They also didn't have a choice of Gin which I thought was odd.
However, the food was good, the overall service very attentive and we had a great night. We will definitely go back.

November 2011 A cool cocktail bar that is within walking distance from home - happy days!!
Jayne from Guernsey, St Martins
First visit to The Rock Garden and I am very impressed. There is a great range of cocktails mostly priced at £7.50 and my favourites on the night were the Fermain White Lady, WIbble and Oliver Twist... Had a range of tapas and all of the dishes were brilliantly presented and the service to match. I will definitely be back very soon and think the courtesy bus is a fab idea although I would be happier to stay put and play with the wall - will say no more - you have got to try it out !!!!
