- Getting to Alderney
The most popular way to get to and from Alderney is with the Guernsey owned airline Aurigny, which operates an all year round scheduled service between the two islands. Aurigny also operates a direct regular service throughout the year to Alderney from Southampton Airport in the UK. During the summer months Alderney is also served by a number of small ferry operators that run services between France and the Channel Islands during the summer months.
The flight from Guernsey to Alderney takes just 15 minutes and is by far the quickest and most convenient way to travel between the two islands. Aurigny also operates a full daily schedule of flights to and from Southampton. See www.aurigny.com for timetable details and to book flights online.
During the summer months the ferry company Manche Iles Express operates a regular sea service between Alderney, Guernsey and the French port of Dielette in Normamndy. Check out www.manches-iles-express.com for details. There is also a summer service operated from Dielette by French company Vedettes du Cotentin www.vedettesducotentin.com as well as a twice-weekly and charter passenger service to and from Cherbourg.
