The resort is built from authentic homes from the sugar plantation era that have been carefully resorted with period-inspired furniture and modern amenities. Guests at the Waimea Plantation Cottages can visit a museum which contains details about the Waimea Sugar Mill Company whose worker cottages now form the guest accommodation at the resort. Visitors to the island can also explore Waimea Canyon, the ‘Grand Canyon’ of the Pacific or the stunning Wailua Falls, as well as sample a host of shopping and dining facilities. Aston Waimea Plantation Cottages Rooms: The Aston Waimea Plantation Cottages resort is made up of 56 restored plantation cottages, each with comfortable living accommodation and their own kitchens. The cottages are fully furnished with ceiling fan, cable television, internet access, CD player, radio, in room safe, iron and ironing board, hair dryer and their own spacious bathroom. All the kitchens are fully equipped with modern amenities such as tea and coffee making facilities, fridge, microwave and a rice cooker. The resort also has a few hotel rooms available which have shared kitchens available. Cots and rollaway beds are available upon request. This restaurant offers light pub food during the day and more substantial meals during the evening. There is local music played in the restaurant from Wednesday through to Saturday for guests to enjoy.
