The hotel was first established in 1901, and has since been renovated to modern standards whilst still offering outstanding and traditional Hawaiian hospitality. All rooms are fully furnished with air conditioning, cable television, internet access, telephone with voicemail, radio, iron and ironing board, in room safe, mini fridge, coffee maker, desk and there own bathroom with bathrobes and other bathroom amenities. The rooms in the Banyan building do not have balconies but large window that can be opened. The Tower building rooms have furnished balconies and the Diamond building rooms have French balconies. All rooms have breathtaking views of the surrounding area. Moana Surfrider Restaurants & Bars: The Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa has an on site restaurant which serves a range of seafood and American-Hawaiian dishes in a relaxing ambiance for dinner service. Breakfast and afternoon tea is available on the Banyan Veranda under the shade of a historical banyan tree. Dinner can be had at the Beachhouse Restaurant. The resort also has a pool bar for tropical cocktails throughout the day.
