The world's 3rd largest film producer, Hong Kong boasts over 100 cinemas. Most of the cinemas are located in shopping malls, and all screen local and foreign films in their original languages with English and Chinese subtitles.

The biggest cinemas are run by Broadway Circuit, UA, Golden Harvest, AMC, MCL and Chinachem companies. In Hong Kong, watching a movie after a day of sightseeing and dining is as convenient as watching a TV. You can skip the long lines by buying a ticket online. Just go to the cinema's website, choose your seat/s and pay using your credit card. Once you're at the cinema, swipe your credit card at counters to get your tickets. Take note that bringing outside foods and drinks are prohibited in Hong Kong cinemas. There are foods and drinks available for purchase once inside.
