Sushi Shota

Located at the vibrant shopaholic area of Causeway Bay and just a 5-minute walk from Sogo Shopping centre, this authentic Japanese venue features an open sushi bar, and traditional Japanese calligraphy artwork. It has an English menu, and the service is good if not a bit too attentive in an endearing Japanese way. The head chef, Jige Kokichi, was even awarded a Michelin Guide recommendation in 2010.

Known for its high quality ingredients and filling, delicious lunch sets, such as the Sashimi and Sushi set or its Beef Teriyaki set, or on weekends, their Negitoro (fatty tuna & spring onion), Salmon, or Three Color North Sea Rice set which are a steal at HKD 140-180. Sets come with miso soup, Japanese steamed egg, ice cream, and coffee. They also boast an extensive Sake/Shouchu menu.

Their dinner is a bit pricey, so the clientele is more business oriented.

Expect to pay HKD 150-300 for lunch and HKD 500-900 for dinner.
