Masu

Hongkong

Japanese

Masu looks to evolve both of these concepts using only the freshest local and regional ingredients to create the ‘true tastes of Japan for one meal’ while being a ‘purveyor of artisan sakes’ to complement their cuisine.

From the interior of the restaurant itself, dotted with recessed lighting and creative dividers, and decorated using shades of cream and grey, you can already notice how well thought this place is. The seats and tables are placed apart from each other to give each group of guests their own comfortable private space. Guests have the option to stay at their Sake Bar, Sushi Bar, in their normal table areas or in (reserved) private rooms.

The food completely makes up for the simplicity of the interior as you feast your eyes upon the excellently-presented scrumptious sushi and robatayaki. Masu Robatayki & Sushi offers dishes in A la Carte and Set Menus. If you’re planning to have lunch at this restaurant, be sure to be there between 11am and 3pm. Dinner, on the other hand, is set from 6pm to 11pm. Some of the bestsellers are their assorted sashimi (sweet shrimp, yellow tail, salmon, scallops and tuna) and their Japanese fruit salad which is a lovely combination of gorgeously juicy sliced tomatoes and soft smoked aubergine paired with a garlicky sauce. Don’t leave without tasting their signature Masu Deluxe Rolls too that are made with rice, egg, crab, cucumber, Hokkaido uni, salmon, and Wagyu Beef all topped with a drizzle of special sweet sauce! Lastly, try the sesame ice cream for dessert.

Serving sizes is around 10-12 inches per meal. When it comes to beverages, you have the option to order a quarter liter, one third liter, or half-liter drink. A full meal will cost one person around 500 HKD.

Note that the atmosphere in this restaurant is not formal, but not too casual either. Therefore, all guests are required to dress properly. Cash and Credit Card (via Visa and Mastercard) are the modes of payment.

Be sure to enjoy the ‘blissful experiences of Japanese Cuisine in Masu.’
