Our Local Experts say:
Marine Parks give you the same appreciation you get from visiting parks and gardens as they make you feel that the country is doing its part in saving the earth.
The objective of these parks is to conserve the marine environment of Hong Kong. Marine Parks in Hong Kong take care of the marine life like corals, fish, crabs, other aquatic animals and plants, and most especially Chinese dolphins. The designation, control, and management of marine parks and reserves are part of Marine Parks Ordinance. There are four marine parks in Hong Kong set for conservation, education, recreation and scientific purposes. Marine parks are open to snorkeling, swimming, sailing, and diving but of course, with certain rules.
