 El Bucanero OverviewAn adjacent street is all that separates El Bucanero from the ‘old town’ - somewhat a hub of activity come nightfall. With tourists flocking to the charming cobbled streets in their hundreds, it’s understandable that there is an overspill onto the sea front and in particular El Bucanero. It would be an injustice to some of Ibiza’s finer restaurants to say that El Bucanero competes in terms of the cuisine that it produces. However what it does offer is a vivacious atmosphere from the large terrace that holds up to 70 people with accompanying views out over the harbour to Marina Botafoc and the surrounding areas. The food is reasonably priced at best but that is to be expected of a venue with such close proximity to the hustle and bustle of Ibiza Town. Look to pay in the region of €10 for a starter and €20 for a main, with a diverse range of fresh fish recipes proving to be ever popular amongst the restaurant’s diners. On saying that, there is no questioning the popularity of the place, with it proving to be busy most nights of the week. El Bucanero is located towards the midway point of the Passeig Maritim, in between the Estació Marítima and the Placa de sa Riba. |
