La Raspa
 La Raspa OverviewIndeed such venues cater for the great amount of traffic passing through this port, as well as drawing clientele from all over the island. La Raspa is one of these restaurants, appropriately specialising in fish, and popular with the wet-set crowd all year round.
Views over the water to the fortress of Dalt Vila, slightly obstructed by the multitude of boat masts, are certainly impressive. La Raspa is blessed to be in this situation, and without doubt attracts diners for this sole reason. However the food also is notable and we did find ourselves marvelling at many dishes that passed us on the way to other tables. Whilst reading from the chalkboard menu, we were treated to a large and interesting selection of tapas to accompany our drinks; a pleasant white wine from nearby Formentera. This really set the tone for an evening of excellent service and fine dining.
Tempted by a couple of the sharing options, particularly the T-bone and Sea Bass, we eventually plumped for the Tuna and the John Dory, both fleshy and flavoursome in their own right. The vegetables lacked imagination but the quality of the fish did make up for this. Given the restaurant’s location and price, one would anticipate no less but in fair, La Raspa lived up to expectations.
