![]() Kama Sushi OverviewThe name gives it away; Kama Sushi is of course a sushi bar, and a great alternative to the standard formula used by so many sunset venues. It accommodates a far more relaxed atmosphere than some of its neighbours and certainly offers the most exotic menu in the area. Serving food from early evening until late into the night, Kama Sushi covers all the bases and hence attracts a large and assorted clientele. At sunset, the bars here go into overdrive, serving the hordes of folk who come to witness the world-renowned view. Kama Sushi is no exception; its own eclectic mix of music and the fabulous Strawberry Caipiroska cocktail being two very persuasive reasons for making a visit. Mainly though, it is the menu of sushi that titillates ones taste buds sufficiently, to bring them here. A special sunset menu provides the perfect accompaniment to an evening drink with a taster plate costing as little as 5€. Other reasonably-priced deals feature the happy-hour-style Sushi & Sangria from 6:30pm until 7:30pm, and the more substantial and especially romantic Sushi & Champagne from 11:30pm. On the main menu (and available to order until 1am) are all the sushi classics you could wish for; maki, uramaki and nigiri sushi as well as yaki soba (noodles). Kama Sushi do offer a couple of options for non-sushi fans, one of which is the spectacularly flavoursome Tokyo burger. Made from beef and laden with ginger, soya sauce and spring onion, this is worth trying even if you do like sushi. Leave some room for dessert, and go with the much-loved Tempura Banana, unanimously recommended by the waitressing staff. With such a diverse menu, Kama Sushi can suit as a pre-party snack or an evening out in itself. Food is even available for take-out. |

August 2011 Magnificent setting, fantastic quality and service. PS Book a front table for the sunset!
Paul Baker from Coventry UK
Booked front view table for 20.00 whilst passing at 18.30. Reception and waiter were superb. Very relaxed atmosphere. Quality and presentation were stunning, only surmounted by a sunset that had already been described by others as fantastic. To me as a "first-timer" it was magically, mind-blowing. Mix that with meals that had the rare "WOW" factor and you can't go wrong. Emily the Manager and her staff deserve every praise and success both now and for the future. Can't wait to visit again. Petty gripes - Some drink prices and no coffee!
PS Spoke to guy from LA later, in Ibiza old town.. It was his favourite restaurant on the island, "under-rated, just the way I want it to stay"!
So I've ruined that for him, sorry !
