La Plaza

Indeed, La Plaza is one such venue. Set aback in the corner of the busy Plaza de la Iglesia is a subtle opening that leads through to a vast terraced garden, adorned with huge palms, cacti and other aspects of natural foliage. It’s safe to say, from a positive point of view, that this was far from what the myIbizaInfo team were expecting.

We were made to feel welcome from the very first moment we walked into La Plaza. Friendly staff were always on hand to provide suggestions into what was invariably a traditionally Spanish menu incorporating various selections of tapas, meats and fresh fish dishes. For those who are bold enough to stray from the norm, fried eggs with various cured meats are in ever popular demand as a starter. Although the select menu was highly populated with diverse types of Spanish sausage, we were talked into the fillet steak and fresh fish of the day; something that we did not regret in the slightest. The steak in particular was superbly cooked and with it weighing in at less than €20, was extremely good value for money at that.

La Plaza is certainly a restaurant worth trying, for the quaint and relaxing setting if nothing more. It’s just a bonus that the simple cuisine is both very reasonable and good at the same time. Far too often is the case that you come across a venue that is overpriced and poor quality; for La Plaza this is far from case.
