Belfast will host one of the world's largest sporting events "World Police and Fire Games" in August 2013. With over 10,000 competitors the WPFG will attract huge numbers to Belfast City. First started in 1967 the games are a biennial event consisting of a wide range of sporting disciplines for individuals and teams.

The mission of the games is to create community interaction and educate children on the benefits of sport.
