![]() The Abbey Tavern OverviewSet in the picturesque rural village of Quin, The Abbey Tavern is the ideal place to either eat, relax with a drink, stay overnight or why not do all three.
Overlooking the Abbey grounds this tastefully restored building offers the best in food, drink and accommodation in one of the most beautiful parts of County Clare. This is a family run business and you can be assured of friendly conversation and great service in either the bar or the restaurant.
The Ardsollus Restaurant itself is part of the Old Barracks and is estimated to be dated back as far as the 1800's and some of the original features can still be seen. It is a Bridgestone Bistro Restaurant and they pride themselves on using local fresh produce where possible. The chef will cater for any special dietary needs, just ring ahead and let them know.
The bar is a true "local" and you can look forward to friendly banter with the locals. Make sure to brush up on your horsey terminology or you might feel a little left out. This is famous horse country and the locals are all well versed on who won what when. You might be lucky and bump into the local Grand National winning jockey sitting at the bar.
The Bed and Breakfast offers excellent accommodation in 10 well decorated rooms and you are assured of a hearty freshly cooked breakfast in the morning, just right to set you up for a day touring the attractions such as Quin Abbey (just across the road) Bunratty Castle, Knappogue Castle and the Bronze Age village of Craggaunowen Prehistoric Park. |
