![]() Finnegan's Restaurant OverviewFinnegan's Cellar Restaurant is perfectly situated in the heart of Tralee, Co. Kerry. The soft lighting and warm ambiance strike you the moment you enter, and the memory of the steaks and tasty local seafood dishes linger long after you leave.
Finnegan's menu concentrates on seasonal ingredients and produce, and fresh seafood and local meats predominate. The building was originally constructed by the Denny family in 1826, and you can dine in what once was the kitchen, the servant's area or the wine cellar. It comes as no surprise that the restaurant once housed a wine cellar, as the choice and calibre of wines on offer are excellent.
Eileen and her staff take pride in their customer service which is evidenced by their loyal repeat clientele. Finnegan's is also a favourite with tourists due to its historic feel and charming atmosphere, providing diners with a glimpse into the history of 19th Century Tralee. The decor features lots of candles, a log fire and plenty of soft, inviting cushions. It is a fantastic location to enjoy either an intimate romantic meal or a special celebration with family and friends.
Kerry is one of Ireland's most visited counties and Tralee is a great base from which to enjoy all the Kingdom has to offer. The Rose of Tralee festival, the scenic Ring of Kerry, and Puck Fair Festival in Kilorglin are three highlights of a visit to Kerry and many visitors choose to base a visit either around Kerry's stunning scenery or its numerous outdoor festivals. A trip to Finnegan's Cellar restaurant is well recommended in any season to enjoy great food and fantastic wines in a truly atmospheric location.
