The aim at Old Shanklin Guest House is to provide good food, a lovely night’s sleep and lots of relaxation. Breakfast changes on a daily basis with specials such as Spicy Potatoes with a Poached Egg or Smokey Bacon Hotcakes. Of course there is always the option of a Full English with Island sourced ingredients, except for the Back Pudding, which comes all the way from the Scottish Hebrides. If that’s not enough there’s Afternoon Bake on your return from a hard day’s relaxing. With a passion for the Isle of Wight Gareth and Sarah are more than happy to offer advice on eating, drinking, walking & sight seeing. Walking books are available to buy and there is also lots of Island info available. Private hire also available for groups of 8 – 10 with dinner or BBQ optional (see our website for menus). Old Shanklin Guest House Rooms: The 5 en suite rooms are tastefully furnished, all with Freesat TV/DVD, tea/coffee making, Duck Island toiletries, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Bonchurch Suite has a Super King size bed, Jacuzzi bath and separate spa shower cubicle and sofa. St Helens also has a Super King size bed, double shower cubicle and Chaise Lounge. Tennyson & Godshill Rooms have King size beds, bath with shower over and an arm chair. The Captain’s Room has a double bed, bath with shower over and an easy chair. For guests’ sole use there is a comfortable lounge with games and puzzles. There is also free DVD loan, books to borrow and free WiFi. For those lovely summer days you could laze around in the South facing garden on the day bed.
