Whitwell, Niton and Chale - Isle of Wight Information
Whitwell and Niton are not far from Ventnor, at the end of the south coast 'Military Road'. They both have great traditional pubs and some pretty old buildings and churches. With the essential shops that you will need, they have a few B&B's and holiday rentals. Niton Undercliff is just below Niton, offering The Buddle Inn pub and fantastic views towards the St.Catherine's Lighthouse, which you can walk to from the pub car park.
Chale is along the Military Road itself and has a large family pub and stunning sea views. Further up the road is Chale Green, where you will find a village shop/cafe and ducks often wondering across the road!
