OUR TEAM At Phileas Fogg’s we believe in serving a great selection of food, using the best ingredients available and offering an informal relaxed dining experience. To enable us to achieve our goals we have a great team of people who work together to make this possible. Our chefs, waiting staff and kitchen porters all work together in a fun, professional enviroment, and our team is what makes us special. OUR AWARD WINNING FOOD Please see the attached menu. When you get here, be check out our blackboards, where you will find our specials of the day... as if it wasn’t hard enough to make your mind up already! Often our suppliers will say they have something really good that day, so we take full advantage, prepare it into something delicious and pop it on as a special for you. Eat here last week for lunch. Was totally amazing! I had chicken tuscany, perfectly cooked chicken with a sauce to die for. My daughter had a kids burger which was better than any adult burger i had tried anywhere. What a joy to find somewhere that caters for children properly! I will be returning very soon for dinner and we cant wait for Phileas Foggs to open for lunch all the time. Ventnor needs quality establishments like yours! Well done Phileas Foggs. Keep up the good work with the exceptional food and great service

My husband and I have been twice now since the lovely new owners took over. It has been fantastic both times. The service is excellent, really friendly and attentive, the food is obviously fresh with really great flavours. Between us we've had the tagine, the rendang, chicken jerk, pork Normandy, steak and prawn curry. All have been great. The baked camembert starter was lovely. (We took family the second time). We all agreed it's a great night out and there is something for everyone. Can't wait for our next visit. The second time it was my husband's birthday and they embarrassed him just a little bit! We have a guest house in Shanklin and will not hesitate to recommend it to our guests.
They will no doubt have a very busy summer.

January 2012 Excellent varied food and wonderful prompt service

We phoned up for a reservation on a Tuesday for 9 and even though they are normally shut in January (Only open Wednesday to Saturday) they said not a problem straight away. We had business guests visiting and so choosing somewhere to eat for 9 is always an issue but not at Phileas Fogg. A deep and varied menu that left our guests struggling to choose from mixed grill to curry everyone was catered for. I started with the Chilli Griddled Prawns which were succulent and full of flavour, followed by the mixed grill which was the best cooked mixed grill I have ever eaten and I have eaten a few. No skimping on the meat and I managed to eat my way through it despite my other 1/2 glaring down the table due to me supposed to be dieting!!!! Then the dessert menu came out which I tried hard to resist but had to have the cheese and biscuits again a plentiful dish without any skimping. I can highly recommend this restaurant and is ideal if you are eating with people who cannot decide between Indian, Italian, British and most other dishes. Will be returning soon........
