Our Locals' Tip: This really is top quality, hand-made chocolate hiding in a charming 'chocolate box' thatched cottage... our idea of heaven!
Chocolate Island can be found in the picturesque village of Godhill on the Isle of Wight. Inside the 'chocolate box' (pardon the pun!) 17th century thatched cottage, are a wonderful collection of chocolate creations, all hand-made and lovingly prepared on the premises.
When you walk in the door, chocolate lovers will be drawn into each charming corner of the pretty little cottage, seeking out the perfect gift or indulgence! Even those not that partial to chocolate are bound to be tempted by the hand-decorated designs, available for any occasion. With a little notice, personal messages and designs are created with great attention to detail.
To those of you interested in what goes on behind the scenes, there is a special viewing area, where you can see the chocolate being made created. Chocolate Island are also running an Easter Chocolate Making Experience this March - limited spaces, book now!
Chocolate Island has also now opened Coco Cafe... here you can enjoy a warm mug of something, including proper hot chocolate of course! Relax in the sunny little courtyard while you ponder over which chocolate treat to buy for yourself.
And of course... the taste test? Well My Destination Isle of Wight ordered several Christmas presents from Chocolate Island and needless to say - family and friends were not only impressed with their own personalised chocolate design, but also very pleased with their delicious chocolate Christmas present.
