We love outdoor adventure activities, and we want to show you why we love them. Our adventure activities are based across the whole of the Isle of Wight with its surf beaches, wooded hill sides, exposed downs, cliffs and more! Most of our adventure activities are based in the rugged and spectacular West Wight area. You could try Kayak Surfing in Freshwater Bay, or you could choose to learn Archery in the woods or go extreme, leaping off the cliffs and swimming through the caves whilst Coasteering. You could be Mountain Biking on the trails or wooded downhills, try Paddle Boarding or spend the whole day in a kayak touring some of the Isle of Wight’s stunning coastline on a Kayak Day Trip.

KAYAKING

Do you want to have fun visiting cliffs, caves and sheltered bays? Maybe surfing ocean waves or riding the swells through the gaps in the cliff walls. The aim of these two hour sessions is a fun introduction to kayaking, with family, friends or meeting new people who have a similar interest. You literally can’t get kayaking like this anywhere else on the Island!

SUNSET PADDLE

There are few things better than kayaking out into the open water in the last rays of sunshine to sit and watch the sun go down over the ocean. Our sunset paddles our perfect for those wanting a gentle cruise out to take in the sights and sounds of the sea in the late evening.

KAYAK FISHING

Kayaking fishing is a fast growing aspect of both sports. The Isle of Wight is one of the best places in the UK for kayak fishing. The huge range of fish found in the Isle of Wight Waters is a challenge for any kayak fishing enthusiast. Isle of Wight Adventure Activities offers guided trips and courses with the experts. We will take you to the best places, the places only known to the locals.

You will learn how to set up your kayak for fishing, learn how to paddle your kayak when it is loaded with fishing equipment, and you will learn how to find fish along with getting many top tips and handy hints. Rescues is an essential skill, both self rescue and the rescue of others and you’ll also learn about tides and weather and have a great day on the Isle of Wight fishing from a kayak.

ARCHERY

Archery is an Olympic sport that offers challenge and excitement – our range is based just up the road from our main base in the woods on the side of the historic Tennyson Down. Directly under the Tennyson Monument, down in a wooded valley our expert archery coaches will introduce you to all aspects of safety and the equipment and then coach you to shoot with precision. There are loads of challenge and games, and the 1hr session is something the whole family can do together.

COASTEERING

At Isle of Wight Adventure Activities we love all types of outdoor sports, Coasteering is one of our favorites though; Jumping over rock archways, swimming through wave filled gaps, climbing up cliffs and ducking under water into invisible caves are just a few of the experiences to be had. Our Coasteering adventures are run by qualified outdoor professionals who have a vast experience of the coastal environment and we are licensed by the Adventure Activities Licensing Service.

PADDLEBOARDING

You will spend your time on the water doing whatever the conditions permit; it may be surfing in the bay or paddling off around to the caves that are just outside the bay.

Whatever you do it will be an adventure in a stunning location, with great equipment and extremely competent, and highly qualified coaches who are there to ensure that you are both safe and having fun.

ORIENTEERING

We have two orienteering courses, both suitable for different levels of experience. The first one is based on the Mottistone Down, around the area of the Neolithic Longstone. It is ideal for younger school groups as a supported walk, or for older children who may be able to complete the course on their own depending on their age and level of experience. It is also ideal for families with young children who can spend the half day exploring this historic area whilst engaging in the orienteering course.

ROCK CLIMBING

Our rock climbing adventures on the Isle of Wight are based at Sandown Rocks – an ultra realistic rock climbing wall. The Isle of Wight Rock Climbing adventures are suitable for all ages as there are a huge range of challenges. Join our qualified and experienced instructors who will give you a very enjoyable and challenging day out rock climbing on the Isle of Wight.

MOUNTAIN BIKING

Previously overlooked as a cycling and mountain biking destination, the Lonely Planet has recently named the Isle of Wight as one of the ten best cycling destinations in the world. The diverse terrain offers a great variety of road cycling, touring and mountain biking. There are cycling routes, paths and trails for all levels of rider, from family leisure cycling to downhill mountain biking, dirt jumping to road racing.

The Isle of Wight is an ideal destination for both family touring with its network of cycle tracks criss crossing the Island, and is great for extreme mountain biking, with its fast down hills and jumps.
