One of the most famous orchestras on the planet, will be presenting some of its magnificent repertoire of classical music at the Haliç Congress Center. Founded in 1882, the German philharmonic orchestra rose to fame in the sixties, when Austrian conductor Herbert von Karajan took the reins and started a recording spree with which they would record a good portion of the classical catalog and sell more than 200 million albums of the recordings. Today, under the direction of Sir Simon Rattle, the Berliner Philarmoniker travels around the world as Goodwill Ambassadors to UNICEF presenting their music in the top performance halls.
