Boncuk Restaurant OverviewBoncuk is one of many restaurants in the famous Nevizade area. It's well known for its special Armenian mezes, "topik"- a cinnamon infused Armenian paste made from tahini, chickpeas and potatoes, its stuffed mackerel and grilled "leaf" liver.
In the summer season, the Restaurant also has a terrace though it's perhaps not as scenic as sitting inside. They also have four tables at the entrance next to the street. In winter they serve over 3 floors and it can be very crowded, especially at weekends.
There's a traveling music group which visits the tables, and they ask diners for requests. As they are not paid by the restaurant the general rule is to give a tip.
Prices are reasonable here and they offer a fixed menu for groups. Reservations not necessary. |
