Al Jamal Badawi Overview

Al Jamal Badawi in Besiktas combines mouthwatering tastes from Lebanese cuisine with a highly entertaining Turkish-Arabian night show.

The unique architecture of Al Jamal Badawi has been created with a historic Turkish bath in mind. The venue is split into small, separated rooms with just two or three food and drink-laden tables in each to enhance the intimate, friendly atmosphere.

Al Jamal Badawi's programme starts at 8pm with a delicious set menu dinner. Guests can enjoy the wide range of delicately presented traditional mezes, entrees and mains with unlimited alcoholic or non alcoholic drinks.

The night show begins when male and female belly dancers enter at around 9.30pm and perform a brief but spectacular show. Diners are encouraged to get up and join in the fun!

Though prices are on the higher end of the scale, Al Jamal Badawi is especially popular with locals due to its top quality food, atmosphere and entertainment.

Entertaining but.........
Tansu gizem from kadikoy

We went to Al Jamal with a group of 16 people. The decoration, all that glittering ornaments are very Arabic. We paid 150 TL per person as fix menu. The table was very small and 16 people were crammed in such a way that we could hardly move our arms. They really entertain you but do no go there for food. Food is average. I was in Aleppo and Beirut 3 weeks ago and the food in Al Jamal is far from a good Lebanese food. Many of the mezes come with yogurt inside and I did not understand the spicy sausage in mixed meat kebap, probably to keep the cost down. The wine was acceptable( Doluca Asma).

Pricey...but an amazing experience!
Robyn Gardner from San Francisco

We went in a big group of friends to Al Jamal. We had been looking for a good place to go for a Turkish night show and we were recommended this place by a local friend. We paid 90 Euro per person but it included very good food, all you can drink alcoholic drinks and the show. The show itself was surprisingly good... very energetic and with a refreshing sense of humour. We left with a smile, glad to have invested our time and money on an evening at Al Jamal!
