Khorasani Restaurant fuses the traditional and the modern with this contemporary kebab house. Named after the birth town of kebab, this popular Sultanahmet eatery has been running since 1983.

The restaurant is spread over three storeys with inside and outside options available. A large "ocakbasi" (traditional Turkish grill) dominates the first floor where diners are invited to sit grill-side and observe the succulent meat and vegetable dishes being expertly barbecued. Downstairs, the cellar hosts regular fasil (instrumental music) sessions in a cosy environment.

Khorasani's menu is extensive, offering cuisine from Turkey's Hatay and Gaziantep regions as well as Ottoman style and international dishes. The restaurant offers a wide range of hot and cold appetizers, soups, salads, pasta, crepes, pizzas, seafood and vegetarian options alongside their famous kebabs.

Some of Khorasani's specialties include barbecued red paprika with walnuts and olive oil; shrimps with artichoke heart and pistachio kebab.

The beverage menu features a selection of Turkish wines, beers, cocktails, raki and other spirits.
