Albura Kathisma is an elegant cafe, restaurant and bar situated in the midst of all the action on Akbiyik Street in Sultanahmet. Built on the site of the Byzantine-era Magnaura (senate building), which was later used as a house during Ottoman times, it is just minutes away from sites such as Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque.

The restaurant is spread over two buildings with both indoor and outdoor options including a panoramic roof terrace (open during summer only) and an open garden which is heated and covered during the cooler months.

Albura Kathisma's menu features a range of hot and cold starters, cheeses, pastries, stuffed vegetables and salads, followed by Italian pasta, salads, crepes and Turkish and European specialties such as kebabs, stews, steak and fresh seafood. There is also a dedicated children's menu and many vegetarian options available.

Diners can also avail of the special platters for two, such as 'The Harem's Charm' , a traditional Ottoman dish featuring sliced lamb sautéed with onions, tomatoes, green peppers, mushrooms and thyme; rolled in slices of fried aubergine and topped with tomato sauce. Some of the restaurant's other specialties include chicken with peach, fried monk fish and lamb back.
