Rumeli Cafe OverviewSet inside an old printing house just off the main drag in Sultanahmet, Rumeli Cafe offers a tempting selection of dishes in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Rumeli Cafe & restaurant was renovated in 1994 by a Greek architect. Its exposed brick, wooden floors and delightful frescoes provide a cosy ambiance, and there is is indoor and outdoor seating available with an open fireplace for the cooler evenings.
The restaurant's menu is diverse, featuring Byzantine and Ottoman style cuisine. Rumeli Cafe offers many meat, fish and vegetarian options such as traditional Turkish appetizers, juicy steaks, Italian style pasta, special kebabs and stews, seafood and salads.
Rumeli Cafe dishes include grilled chicken breast with artichoke, dill, garlic and pepper and cream, and Byzantine style stew served in a terracotta pot.
