With a cool white and gold interior, Mediterranean menu and hip music, El Beso Restaurant & Club in Istanbul's beautiful Kurucesme district is the ideal place to chill with friends, party to local and international DJ's, or enjoy a romantic dinner with dazzling views of the Bosphorus.

In January 2011, El Beso’s distinguished chef, Alfonso de la Mota Lopez, released a new and exciting menu which features a selection of special Mediterranean style dishes. Alfonso, a graduate of contemporary arts, has developed an outstanding reputation in the world of gastronomy and has worked alongside many world renowned chefs including Ferran Adria, chef of the 3 Michelin-Starred restaurant El Bulli, as well as El Taller.

He was also hired as the private chef for celebrities such as Roberto Cavalli and Uma Thurman and during a year long stay in Brazil, Alfonso served as the private chef to Brazilian author Paolo Coelho. He is currently in the process of renovating Barcelona’s Valluart Restaurant and creating a fresh menu for it.

From delicate tapas to gourmet risottos and pastas, and signature dishes such as sea bass wrapped in potato and El Beso Kebab, the restaurants’s menu is designed with the true connoisseur in mind. Diners are invited to indulge in the restaurant's homemade Italian Gelato icecream, which offers the perfect refreshment for the palate.

El Beso Restaurant begins its service with a rich breakfast and continues on late into the evening, transforming into a lively nightlife venue as the evening progresses. DJ Cem Salman and DJ Ataman present special mixes, with DJ Indhi T also offering spectacular performances.

Every second Friday, El Beso features saxophone or percussion banquets, and special cocktail parties and other surprise events take place on a regular basis.

During the winter months, guests are offered cosy fireside seating, while in the summertime diners can appreciate El Beso's beautiful terrace.
