How to get to Homer Bookstore in Istanbul:
From Istiklal Square, walk about halfway down Istiklal Street until you come to Galatasaray Lycee. Take the first street on the left going downhill (Yeni Carsi Caddesi). Homer Bookstore is 50 meters downhill on your right.

Homer bookstore is situated just off Istiklal Street in Galatasaray. This cosy bookstore and publisher packs in more than 30,000 English language titles on just about every subject imaginable.
The store's stock covers a range of specialised subjects, from photography to history, cookbooks, gardening, literary fiction, humanities, social sciences and much more. The childrens books corner is stocked with many quality, educational titles and is especially popular with young expats living in Istanbul.
Homer revolutionised the English language book market in Istanbul in 1995 when they started to sell English books at cover prices and using affordable publishers such as Penguin.Store owner Aysen Boylu has a PhD in Urban Archeology and is passionate about the quality and selection of books in her store.
The store's staff are all knowledgeable and prices reasonable. Homer has 6 other branches in Turkish tertiary institutions such as Sabanci, Bilgi, Ozyegin and Isik Universities in Istanbul.
