The first IKEA store to open in Turkey, IKEA Ümraniye is situated on the outskirts of Istanbul on the Asian side of the city.
IKEA was established in 1943 by an entrepreneurial Swede, Ingvar Kamprad, who was looking to bring affordable, well designed furniture and accessories to the masses. The brand has since developed into a homeware giant with branches across the world.
IKEA stocks an extensive range of European style furniture and accessories for the bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and more. There is also a foodcourt on site offering tasty Swedish classics at reasonable prices.
