Malelane Camp Overview

Malelane is a beautiful satellite camp to Berg-en-Dal, located near to the Malelane entrance Gate. This makes it particularly convenient for travelers driving through from Joburg. There is no reception at Malelane camp, and all administrative issues are handled by staff at the nearby gate, which many guests feel adds to the charm of this popular spot in the park. This small camp is located on the banks of the impressive Crocodile River, and is therefore situated on the Southern border of the Park.

The small size of the camp lends itself perfectly to guests looking for a slightly different Kruger Park experience, away from the larger camps and accommodation options.

Malelane Game Viewing

This part of the Kruger Park is famous for its large animal populations, and animals such as white rhino and elephant are regularly spotted in the area. And when the animals decide to stay away, there are plenty of birds to keep you busy while you drive through the picturesque mountainous landscape.

Common in the area : White Rhino, Elephant.

If you are lucky you may see : Lion, Leopard, Wild Dog, Black Rhino, grey rhebok, fish eagle

Accommodation

There are two no-frill options of self-catering accommodation; firstly in the form of 5 bungalows, and, secondly, of 15 well-kept camping or caravan sites, making it ideal for travelers on a budget. Check Malelane accommodation types, pricing and availability.

There are very few facilities located in the camp, which has no reception, shop, restaurant or filling station.

Day Visitors: Malelane is a private camp and is therefore no visitors are allowed
