Biyamiti Bushveld Camp Overview

Biyamiti is one of the Park’s most celebrated Bushveld camps. This serene camp, which consists of just 15 cottages, is nestled on the banks of the Biyamiti river, and regularly serves up a variety of unique and exciting wildlife sightings. The region around the camp is particularly picturesque, with Delogoa thickets, Wild Fig and Jackalberry trees punctuating the region. The camp is also off limits to day visitors, and, because of this, the stretch of private road leading up to, and from, the camp often serves up special sightings away from the bustle of the main roads. Birders will also delight in the wide variety of species are often sighted in the area, and the dense foliage in the camp allows for superb viewing from the comfort of your patio.

The real charm of Biyamiti, therefore, lies in the utter tranquility of the camp, while being located in one of the busiest and most wildlife-rich regions of the park.

Biyamiti Game Viewing

The diverse flora brings with it a wide variety of wildlife and birds, and a range of animals can be spotted in the vicinity.

Common in the area : White Rhino, Elephant, Kudu, Giraffe.

If you are lucky you may see : Lion, Leopard, Wild Dog, Cheetah, Black Rhino, African Barred Owl and Red-billed Helmet Shrike.

Accommodation

There are two accommodation types in Biyamiti, 10 2-bedroom guest cottages and 5 1-bedroom cottages, which are often booked out well in advance, particularly over long weekends and school holidays. Check Biyamiti accommodation types, pricing and availability

Facilities and Activities

There are few facilities located in the camp, with no shop, restaurant or filling station. There is a public telephone, and firewood, ice, phone cards and meat are available at reception. Basic medical aid facilities are available. Biyamiti is a private camp and and no visitors are allowed into the Camp. Game drives and guided bush walks are available from the Camp.
