![]() Hamiltons OverviewThis remarkable African retreat provides a charter flight from Johannesburg Airport to an airstrip in Kruger for transfer to Kruger National Park and your accommodation. Hamiltons Kruger Safari offers a combination of elegance and charm not expected in the wilds of the African bush. This is the ideal place to begin your journey into the magnificent lands of the lion, tiger, and elephant. A tented camp is set up to provide you with the best of both worlds: nature at its finest and luxurious living accommodations. With a visit to Hamiltons, you will be supplied with a personal butler, guide, and tracker. Morning and afternoon game drives will offer guests numerous opportunities to catch a glimpse of the “Big 5” in Africa. The typical Hamiltons tour is for a period of three days. Hamiltons Accommodation: Six remarkably lavish tents are connected by timber walkways to a central lounge. A very old tree, a Jackalberry, provides shade to the lounge area. A clawfooted “slipper tub” will help you relax and unwind from an exciting day in Africa’s amazing bush lands. The entire scene could be played out from a 1930s era or the movie, “Out of Africa.” Hamiltons Facilities: In the early morning hours, your butler will wake you and serve coffee or tea in your room. A wonderful breakfast will then await you before your day’s trek begins. A bush picnic is traditional luncheon fare. In the evening, a sumptuous dinner will be prepared for you and delivered on fine bone china, with crystal, candelabras, and a world-famous wine list. Hamiltons Location: A tour at Hamiltons includes housing in a luxurious tent, three meals each day, two daily game activities, flights to and from Johannesburg, airport transfers, TOMSA levy, and applicable conservation fees. Not included in the tour price are beverages, tips or gratuities, fuel surcharges, international flights, visas, or travel insurance.
After lunch and your return from the early morning game drive, you can relax by the swimming pool and take it easy in the heat of the African day. A brief guided nature walk can be taken after lunch as well, which focuses on native birds in the area.
Dusk is probably the best time to see one of Africa’s big cats and other hard-to-spot species. During the nighttime game drive, guests visit the distinctive Hoyo-Hoyo Tsonga Lodge and enjoy a customary African beverage and then return to Hamiltons Kruger Safari lodge for another exquisite meal. |
