You'll find Montecasino situated at the Fourways junction of William Nicol Drive and Witkoppen Road. Montecasino is accessible from the William Nicol off-ramp, from the N1 freeway (Western Bypass). From the N1 (Western Bypass) take the William Nicol Turnoff, turn onto William Nicol Drive and drive in a Northerly direction towards Fourways for approximately 3km. Cross over Leslie Road. At the next traffic light intersection (Kingfisher Road), turn right into Montecasino Boulevard How to get to the Teatro Theatre and the Box Office From the multi-storey parking area, take the lift down, pass the casino area and continue towards the restaurants, past The Meat Company and around the corner by the Portuguese restaurant Beira Alta, from there the walkway goes to the foyer of the theatre. The Montecasino Box Office is situated between the function venue La Toscana and the Portuguese restaurant Beira Alta.

Broadway’s longest running musical, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera has experienced sell out seasons around the world, and now will make its long awaited arrival in Johannesburg playing at the Teatro at Montecasino from 31 Jan 2012.

Having played to more than 100 million people in 149 cities around the world, this full- scale production directed by Harold Prince is arguably the most popular musical of all time.

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s sweepingly romantic score includes “Music of the Night” and “All I Ask of You”, and will be performed by a stellar South African cast. The Phantom of the Opera tells the story of a disfigured musical genius known only as ‘The Phantom’ who haunts the depths of the Paris Opera House.

Mesmerised by the talents and beauty of a young soprano - Christine, the Phantom lures her as his protégé and falls fiercely in love with her. Unaware of Christine’s love for Raoul, The Phantom’s obsession sets the scene for a dramatic turn of events where jealousy, madness and passions collide.
