Gautrain Pretoria Station
Johannesburg
Pretoria is the administrative capital of South Africa, and the offices of the South African Government as well as those of the State President, are housed in the magnificent Union Buildings built on a hill in the city. These buildings were designed by the renowned architect Sir Herbert Baker who designed many famous buildings around South Africa.
Pretoria is a beautiful city, being built in the foothills of the Magaliesberg Mountain range. In October and November, the thousands of Jacaranda trees in and around Pretoria are in full bloom with their dark blue flowers, giving it an almost magical appearance, and resulting in it being locally referred to as the "Jacaranda City"
