Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort Overview

At the Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort & Spa, guests enjoy extensive beaches, relax at the resort spa, or dine at one of the hotel’s restaurants. The three-story building has arched doorways and murals of scenes from the Kenyan coast. Guests are welcomed to the hotel’s elegant lobby.

Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort Rooms:

This large resort doesn't feel so big as it has many quiet pool areas, an adults only section with the luxurious spa and in general, when we were staying here, it has a peaceful atmosphere with private secluded terraces and nooks to enjoy. Whitesands has 338 rooms, all of which have wireless internet, satellite television, in-room safes/safe deposit boxes, hair dryers, and mosquito nets. The rooms are spacious, with lounge chairs, large windows, and brightly colored bed linen. All have en suite bathrooms and a balcony or a verandah, overlooking the resort’s swimming pool or the ocean. Standard rooms have twin beds, double beds, or are laid out as triples; extra beds and baby cots are available at an extra charge. Some of the rooms interconnect through the room or the balcony. Seafront Rooms are similar to standard rooms, but face the beautiful beaches. Palm Rooms face the presidential swimming pool and its gardens; they have work tables and mini-bars, which are stocked upon request. Guests in these rooms receive a fruit platter upon their arrival, and a daily newspaper.

Executive Suites have lounge areas, with flat screen televisions, and Persian rugs on the tile floors. These are available with one or two bedrooms. For the most luxurious stay, reserve one of the two Presidential Suites. These expansive suites have two master bedrooms with king- and queen-sized beds; each has a television. The master bath has a Jacuzzi. There are two back rooms with twin beds and separate exits, and a large lounge with a kitchenette. You have a private car park, the option of 24-hour butler service, and exclusive sun beds.

Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort Restaurants & Bars:

The large Pavilion I & II restaurant offers guests buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner; the menu’s theme changes. The 24-hour Minzai Trattoria & Pizzeria has light snacks and, of course, pizzas. For a delicious seafood dinner with an ocean view, try the Lido Seafood grill for lunch or dinner.

The Cocos Beach Bar is an open-air entertainment venue, with thatched roofs and umbrellas. Listen to live music once a week, and enjoy a tropical cocktail on the beach at the daily happy hour.

Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort Facilities:

We just loved the resort’s Tulia spa. Set in it's own tranquil and undisturbed setting, the spa lets you relax and unwind with a variety of massages and beauty treatments. Treatments can be booked for couples as well and the atmosphere is tropical and very, very relaxing. Whitesands resort has conference and banquet facilities, equipped with audio-visual options including projectors and televisions. An airport transfer service is available for an additional charge. No pets are allowed.

Whitesands Beach Resort & Spa belongs to Sarova Hotels, together with:

what a wonderful hotel
Jane Young from Dorset, UK

Stayed here with my husband and two teenage step-children. We've never been to Kenya before so didn't really know what to expect. We all had a really wonderful time and can honestly say that it was one of the best family holidays we've had for years. The children both made good friends and the atmosphere at the hotel just meant that we all did what WE wanted to do. We had several spa sessions as the spa is just out of this world (pricey though). The food was super (I put on 3 lbs! and Kenya itself was just very interesting and lovely to be in. We went snorkelling, sightseeing, a 3 day safari to Voi Wildlife Lodge in Tsavo, but mainly the highlight was just lying by the pool. Lovely place -
