Kiangazi House Overview

Kiangazi House is a small, comfortable property that provides guests with a chance to stay in a wildlife corridor, next to the Oserian Wildlife Sanctuary. The resort overlooks Oloidien Bay and Lake Naivasha, and is surrounded by well-tended gardens and lawns. A salt lick and watering hole at the bottom of the garden are often the meeting place for local wildlife. Guests can take a guided drive through the sanctuary, with a chance to spot rhinos, leopards, giraffes, and other exotic wildlife native to Kenya. Birdwatchers will enjoy walking around the lake. Hells Gate National Park is also nearby.

Kiangazi House Rooms:

There are five individually decorated guest rooms, each of which has an en-suite bathroom. One twin room and two double rooms are located in the main house, and there are also two new “garden” rooms, with private verandahs. (The hotel also has three smaller annex rooms available for large groups.) All of the rooms are furnished with four-poster beds draped with mosquito netting. The Ibis Suite, located in the main house, has its own brick fireplace, and also has a mini-bar for guests’ convenience. It features a carved wooden trunk at the foot of the bed, and a tile floor.

Kiangazi House Restaurants & Bars:

Full board is included in the room rates. The guest house has professional chefs to provide meals, which incorporate fresh vegetables and dairy products from a nearby farm. Breakfast and/or lunch can be provided as a picnic that guests can enjoy while on safari or on a visit to a nearby park. House beer and wine is included in the rate.

Kiangazi House Facilities:

Boat trips on the lake are available, for either fishing or sightseeing. Kiangazi House can provide experienced drivers for guided game drives. The house’s library has a large fireplace, and provides a comfortable indoor place to relax. Guests can also rest on the house’s large verandah or on the lawns. There is an outdoor tennis court and a swimming pool in the garden. The accommodation fees include a return transfer by mini-van from Nairobi, any laundry, game drives, a boat trip, and fees to enter the wildlife sanctuary. (Additional fees may be required if you choose to stay an extra night; please see the hotel website for additional information.)

There is also a private airfield able to offer scheduled and charter flights to other key safari destinations found all around Kenya.
