The comfortable furniture and luxurious atmosphere of the camp enable visitors to step back in time and enjoy and authentic african experience among the elephants, giraffes, zebras and impalas who share this amazing environment. Karen Blixen Camp Rooms: The Karen Blixen Camp is medium sized camp with 22 spacious tents which are a perfect place to relax. Each tent has a mahogany platform and spacious veranda. Here you can can enjoy the tranquil environment on the comfortable cushioned daybed which overlooks the beautiful surroundings.
Each luxurious tent has an en-suite bathroom with a WC twin washbasins and an outdoor shower which offers an amazing view to the sky. There is hot water which is heated by gas and solar power provides 24 hours of electricity to all the tents.
Most of the tents at the Karen Blixen Camp are placed along the river with 3 set up on raised platforms offering stunning views of the surrounding area. There is a family unit which consists of two tents with a shared veranda. Karen Blixen Camp Restaurants & Bars: The Karen Blixen Camp offers breakfast, lunch and dinner in the restaurant or bush garden which offers incredibly close views of wild animals who visit the Mara River to drink.
A romantic bush dinner is also a possibility, take in the starlit African night or try a bush breakfast which is great after an exciting morning game drive through the Mara plains.
A sperb selection of cosmopolitan food from the Far East, India or a traditional Kenyan cuisine is also served alongside fine wines. Karen Blixen Camp Facilities: The camp offers a communal lounge, a gift shop with wireless internet and a swimming pool.
