PinkLakeMan's Eco-Lodge Overview

Pink Lake Man’s Eco-lodge is found on the south-east shore of Lake Elementaita. Only 1½ km from the Nakuru-Nairobi Highway, Pink Lake Man’s Eco-lodge is also just a short walk from the therapeutic hot springs.

Recommended for:

Many activities are possible ranging from doing absolutely nothing but soaking up the atmosphere, to:

Bird watching,

Photographic expeditions

Kite flying along the beach,

Painting expeditions

Walks or bike rides among the thousands of birds,

Hot air ballooning over the lake

A visit to the nearby Ostrich Park and could include a spot of horse riding,

A game drive in the neighboring Lake Nakuru Reserve,

Surreal sundowners under the shadow of Lord Cole’s obelisk,

A stroll around the left lakeshore through the eco-forest

A lazy picnic on a volcanic rock near the hot springs

A leisurely soak in the therapeutic hot springs, both night or day.

The absence of hippo make candlelit lake dinners and star gazing a romantic reality.

A historical tour of the Kariandusi Prehistoric Site or the ancient Gambles caves,

PinkLakeMan's Eco-Lodge Accommodation:

Guests stay in a little wooden one-bed roomed cottages, each furnished in rustic style with its own bathroom. All these cosy, wooden rooms are furnished in natural materials with local art. Cool, crisp linen sheets and fluffy towels are supplied.

Camping Facilities and drivers` quarters are also available.

All accommodation is powered by solar power, backed up by a generator. A wind turbine will be is planned to be functional within the year.

Facilities include outdoor toilets and showers, hot running water and a comfortable bar and sitting area. Around the grounds are several picnic tables and chairs all well situated where guests may self cater using utensils and gas cookers which are available on request; Nice to create meals under the starlit sky or birdsong during the day. Alternatively, there is a resident chef who can prepare your food.

Camping/Use of grounds per person per day: KSH 500

Cottages, Double KSH 7,200/= full board per couple per night.

Cottage only @ 4,000/= per couple.

Singles 2,500/= accommodation only, catering is @ 1,500/= per person per day,

PinkLakeMan's Eco-Lodge Facilities:

Pink Lake Man’s Eco lodge now offers a rustic retreat for visitors and is a perfect stopover for travellers going to or from Nairobi. This romantic getaway is also loved by those those who want to be in harmony with nature. Bird-watchers, artists, stargazers and naturalists will find the spectacular views across the lake a source of endless inspiration. All sorts of wildlife is found in the nearby forest around the lakeside such as warthog, hare and bevies of beautiful butterflies and the hundreds of species of birds who all make this lakeside location their home. 2.5 million years ago Homo Erectus setup scenic work stations, which guests can still see at the Kariandusi prehistoric site.

....a quiet sundowner on the porch of the cabin with the beauty of the sunset and the flamingos in the distance on the lake is nothing short of God's miracles. Can't wait to come back...am sure there is more in store?? C
