Finding Accommodation in Mountains and Woodlands
Mount Kenya is the 2nd highest mountain in Africa with the highest (Mt Kilimanjaro) being easily visible from Amboseli Game Park in the East. Both are snow capped. Large swathes of indigenous rainforest still exist in several areas of Kenya.
Dense tropical rainforest is found in the Mount Kenya Region and is where Nobel Prize winner, Wangari Maathai originated from.
