Public Holiday - Easter Day. Christian celebration for the Day that Jesus rose from the dead (his Resurrection). Easter Day marks the end of Lent, which is a forty-day period of fasting, prayer, and penance.
Easter customs vary but decorating Easter eggs is something many people do and also egg hunting and the Easter Bunny bringing chocolate easter eggs for children. The reason eggs and bunnys' are reflected in Easter celebrations is the idea of rebirth and starting life again. The day varies from year to year but generally known to be the first Sunday after the full moon and varies between March 22 and April 25 depending on the year.
