EA Swaminarayan Temple Overview

The East African Satsang Swaminarayan Temple is a large friendly temple with lots going on and an active social outreach program.

It's colourful decor is well maintained and lovingly cared for, with two large halls for worship and gatherings. The temple walls have many Hindu paintings depicting various scenes. There is also a small nursery school on site.

When I visited, I was warmly welcomed even though I hadn't made an appointment. As with most Hindu temples in the area, visitors are asked to go after 4pm. I was allowed in before this time even though in many other temples the policy was much more strictly adhered to.
