Found in the small, bustling Muthaiga Shopping Centre, the Anghiti is famed for providing a delicious range of traditional Indian cuisine.
With care and attention paid to the presentation and look of each dish, the restaurant is small and cosy in comparison to it’s larger more boisterous counterpart in Westlands. Because of the excellent food it serves it’s often packed at peak times, so booking ahead is advisable. The Anghiti also do outside catering for take-away suppers, banquets, events and weddings.
Anghiti is the name for the traditional Indian charcoal brazier used for grilling meat and kebabs. Of course, being named after an anghiti, much of the cuisine at the restaurant is cooked using this method on the premises. An extensive range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes are offered with the Anghiti Mixed Grill being one that we recommend. This platter is made up from an assortment of fish, chicken and mutton, all marinated overnight in an assortment of spices and then cooked to perfection in the charcoal “anghiti” brazier.
