Ice-skating Overview

This wonderful Solar Ice-skating Rink is the only one of a kind in East and Central Africa. It's a must if you're looking for something to do with your kids. Although the rink caters for up to 200 people at a time, it rarely has more than around 20 people so you have plenty of space to skate without being disturbed. The Panari Sky Centre is easy to find on the Mombasa Road being around 2km the airport.

SKATING BOOTS & INSTRUCTION

Boots are provided and one or two instructors are on hand to help people who are new to skating.

GROUP BOOKINGS

It's a great place to bring a group either for a corporate company outing, or kids party; however, there are no discounts for group bookings and booking ahead is recommended.

CHILDREN & BEGINNERS

Children under 9 must be accompanied by an adult and it's recommended that they wear gloves to protect their fingers if possible. For those who are beginners or inexperienced skaters, support frames are available to help you balance. Cute penguins are also available for younger children which serve the same purpose.

The skating times are at alternate hours as follows:

11.00am -12.00noon

1.00pm - 2.00pm

3.00pm - 4.00pm

5.00pm - 6.00pm

7.00pm - 8.00pm

9.00pm - 10.00pm

Adults: 800/- ksh

Children : 500/- ksh

GETTING THERE

Just a word of caution: Leave plenty of time to get to the Panari Centre as the traffic can be nightmare depending on the time of day.

The Ice rink is found in the Panari Sky Centre. There is a very nice Lebanese style snack bar & restaurant called Al Pasha and also an excellent restaurant called the Pampa Churrascaria Brazilian Grill.
