Samui Football Golf

Samui Football Golf is the first of its kind in Asia, and we are fortunate enough that it is here on Koh Samui.

Most people come to Samui to enjoy the beach, but soon enough we all need a change from the beach. There are plenty of options for island tours and marine tours, but there is only one option when comes to football golf.

Football Golf really is a great alternative to organised tours, can be enjoyed by all ages and you don't necessarily need to be a golf or football player or fan to participate.

The idea of the game is the same as golf, your aim is to get the football in the hole with the least amount of kicks possible. Some might think this a game for the boys, but it really is for everyone.

The course layout has been designed so that any level or ability can play competitively and have a lot of fun doing it.

It's a great opportunity for the girls to have a go at beating the boys and getting bragging rights until your next Samui visit.

It's a great chance for budding football stars to show the dad's how it is done.

If you've come on holiday with a group of friends, you really should get down there for a round on your holiday, this my first experience with football golf and it's one I haven't forgotten, it was hilarious.

The owner and operator, Tom Roberts has been a local on Samui for 7 years now, supported by manager Joom and her team the place is managed well and you are made feel welcome and looked after from the moment you enter the clubhouse.

There a great story behind the concept that is now Samui Football Golf. When Tom used to go on family holidays as a kid, he and his mates were kicking the football about on the beach when Tom decided they needed to do something a little different to make it more fun. So the boys set about digging holes in the sand and playing the first version of Samui Football Golf. They loved it so much the game continued as a modified backyard version with chairs when they got back home from their holiday.

A young boys dream eventually became a reality when Tom relocated to Samui as a teacher, and with the help of some local friends and nightshifts building the original course, Samui Football Golf was born!
